Let It Shine

The new Honda Hybrid ad ‘an animated film made entirely out of car headlights’

The campaign promotes Honda’s new environmental brand platform ‘Everyone Wants To Be Good’. The clip below shows the making of the advert.

Visually and technically its really impressive. Although I’m sure an advert with a bunch of cars, using their headlights in the middle of a desert to advertise a hybrid is sure to stir up some negative chit chat. But in this current climate its nice to see a brand taking these risks creatively and promoting such a positive message, and believing that people are fundamentally good.

We’re not cool or crap anymore. Honest.

Actually Renault, no, I don’t.

Odd advert. Maybe Renault are trying to target a new consumer because of that recession thing by reinforcing their reliability, but seems they have deserted their previous, ‘We’re French, aren’t we cool’ approach to a more we used to be crap but now we’re safe and boring. Talk about a confused above the line message.

From Me to You

Discovered this on Sunday as I nursed my hangover infront of Xfactor. It’s My favourite Christmas advert so far! Its nice to see a festive advert that isn’t corny and stuffing tinsel and snow down your throat! More of the intelligent stuff please!
